About The Host
Naina started Sat•Suma out of her home in August 2020, while navigating the Covid-19 lockdown. As a family, she and her loved ones had been working towards a more sustainable lifestyle, and during that time she found herself simplifying even further. She had already been experimenting with plastic-free products like body butters and balms, and soon decided to learn cold process soapmaking to create safe, eco-friendly soap for them. After months of research, she made her first batch and was instantly hooked. What began as a hobby and thoughtful gifts for friends quickly grew into a small business. Eventually, Naina put her career as a filmmaker on hold to focus fully on Sat•Suma. At its heart, Sat•Suma is about providing clean, affordable skincare that helps people on their own sustainability journeys.
