We wear perfumes every day, but rarely think about what goes into them. Each blend goes through a process of selection, combination, and refinement and even the smallest change can completely shift how a fragrance feels.
In this perfume experience, you’ll explore how something so fleeting is created and held. Break down the layers within a fragrance, understand different notes and how they interact and begin to recognise what shapes a scent. You’ll then create your own blend, guided by an expert perfumer.

Registrations close on the day of the experience - an hour prior to the start time, subject to availability of seats.

Kate is the founder of Led By Nose and a fragrance educator with an academic background from some of the world’s most prestigious perfumery schools. Taking a multidisciplinary approach to fragrance, she brings together artistic creativity, scientific knowledge, and industry expertise to make perfumery more accessible and engaging.

Is this a perfumery course? Will I receive any certifications for attending this experience?
The experiences we offer are one-time, 2-3 hour formats that cover the introductory aspects of the topic. We don't provide professional courses or official certifications; the idea is to simply discover something new in an engaging manner, and in the company of like-minded people.
Do I need prior experience with perfume making?
We’ve designed this experience to be beginner-friendly. We will provide all the necessary knowledge and tools for you to create your own unique scent in this experience.
Can I take my perfume home?
Yes. You get to create and take home your own signature 30ml perfume bottle.
How far in advance should I book the spot?
It's best if you book online well in advance. Since we work in small groups and on a first come, first serve basis, last minute availability may be limited.
Will I get a discount for this experience?
We don’t typically do discounts since our experiences are designed for intimate groups with small margins. However, we do promise to pack enough value in terms of what you will experience!
Are the fragrances used natural or synthetic?
Our perfumes are a blend of natural essential oils and synthetic compounds, especially when suitable natural alternatives are not readily available.
Is the perfume we make alcohol-based?
Yes. We use an alcohol-based solvent for our perfumes and we will discuss different types of perfumes based on their concentration, during the experience.
